west zone colours
award presentation was held at HCI. everyone looked good and smart that day. i'm definitely thankful for the fact that the school doesn't have the oh-so-creative school logo on the blazers. hahaha. i'm pretty sure everyone agrees with me.
there were 9 individual awardees, 5 canoeists: irene sze meng fuck me, 3 ruggers: rahmad jeremy leenan and the golf girl so sorry forgot your name.
i guess everyone was quite shocked when the emcee didn't announce PJC CANOEING for the team colours award. we're on the list. apparantly what happened was that the organisers thought that our representative was not present because meng was sitting with us, instead of sitting at the team awardees section. she was like so depressed for the whole time there, as if a team mate died or something.
haha, wake up your idea man. even though you didn't go up to receive the stupid piece of cloth from the guest of honour for the team, the fact that we're receiving Team Colours doesn't change. moreover, like what i'd told you hell number of times that day, IT'S NOT ABOUT THE PAPER OR CLOTH OF WHAT HAVE YOU'S! IT'S ABOUT THE MOMENT. i hope you have recovered from that trauma, seriously.
this is the first time ever in PJ history that PJ is awarded TEAM COLOURS. PJC CANOEING TEAM. definitely it sounds good enough? we broke the NJ-HC-RJ-AC trend. sounds even better right?
together with many many other events can clearly show how much MENG loves the team. it's totally hardcore looking at her. our juniors ought to learn to LOVE. not just the zhixiong-jeslin kind but yea, the 05team-pjcanoeing kind.
i'm glad that everyone (seniors) love the team so much, to such an extent. so if you haven't, better start reflecting and start finding reasons to. i'm sure meng's inspiring enough. if i were a junior, i would probably want to be like her.
love is what that makes us human. it's just so amazing that love is the basis of life. we ought to learn to love. by the way i'm not talking about that kind of love for your hot chicks or your cute guys, you get what i mean (:
13 OCT would be the Achievers' Night (meng please take note). mrs tan is so nice to throw a dinner at some hotel for those who sweated/teared/shed blood for TEAM PJC. the sports that did well (canoeing, rugby..) are those which the retired nice principal of ours, the father of PJC (please sense the sarcasm please please), wanted to close down. i hope he is more SUPLISED at the results than the lurking COCOJES in the canteen.
20 OCT, meng irene fucko me will going don't-know-where for National Colours. till then, thanks for reading and good luck for promos/a levels/whatever.

eh tis entry not to praise them la.. haha no la jk jk but jus that i realli admire their spirit if i can vote
best race i have ever seen: zl n kt k2 1000
most inspiring race: zl n kt marathon race ncc
whoaa. haha, wow so i guess its worth mentioning. but then again, why isn't the best race your own race.
for me, the best race is, 4x400m meng's race. when janet barely smell you, you started bursting at 100m mark. that was LOL and my classmates were thinking that you were siao. HAHAHAHAHAHH. can still hear other people "eh wtf, who's that who's that?!"
ok then for canoeing, in my opinion, anyone who raced under pjcanoeing team are the best races.
why most inspiring not your ubin marathon? haha, sank the boat without knowing it. first time hear people say "eh don't twist liao. use biceps!" but in the end still caught up. so gd job there.
last paper tmr!!!! yeaa hahaha. now be goneeee be gonneeee..

The Dash
thedashmovie.com/
life: to live to love.
for people with a screwed flash player, if you're wondering what is it about, read on.
The Dash - Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning... to the end.
He noted that first came her date of birth
and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive in earth
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars.. the house.. the cash..
What matters most is how we live and love..
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you will never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real...
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives...
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile...
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read...
with your life's actions to rehash...
Would you be proud of the things they say...
about how you spend your dash?

2 cents. 3 cents. 4 cents
saturday marks the end of my competitive racing for now till i enter uni?
NCC is quite disappointing i can say, but the spirit in us was remarkable.
used the white stingray for both events- k2-10k and k2-1000.
!@%!@% we capped at the startline just when the horn goes. i was like WTF man?! ah nvm, i don't blame MJC guys. after all the shock and anger, we got onto the boat and started off with the K1 guys which was at least 2minutes later. for the first round our direction was like shit, going in and out of the lanes, getting sucked by other boats' washes blabla. i wanted so much to smash the hell out of this bitch with a sledge hammer. it was damn uncomfortable but i wanted even more to complete the race, as much as my partner would want. we rowed like dog and finished 4th.
don't want to comment about it anymore.
in summary, BURN THE STINGRAYS!
congrats to pjcanoeists again. well done, great year (: thank you all.
tommorrow asexual test. see you all.

WARNING...*** This entry is a bit long....
whoooaaa it seems to be the IN thing to write something on my blog. so here it is, from ailing-
Hey guys,
The last few months were super eventful. There were up and downs, happy moments and disappointments. But I’m glad that all of us made it through and emerge victoriously as champions. Every one of us. First, I would like to take this opportunity to first apologize to every single one in the team, especially the senior team. Sorry for not being very active in our outings and the disappointing training I made during June. You guys totally gave your heart and souls. Now secondly, thank you speech as usual…..
First: To MR ANG.
Mr Ang, thanks for your guidance and tolerance towards us especially me during the past one year plus. Thanks for lending me a listening ear when I’m in trouble. Thanks for pushing me hard during trainings. Finally, thanks for all your encouragement and the faith you had in us.
Second: To SHAUN (NUS)
Shaun thanks for starting us off. Thanks for your patience and commitment in teaching us when you are not obliged to. Thanks for the opportunities, advices and the care you’ve given us the past few months. You are a mentor to all of us. I really appreciate it. Thanks.
Third: To MENG, my lovely partner
No words can really describe the friendship between us. We’ve really came a long way my friend. Today’s marathon really takes me back to good old times where we started off. Struggling. Meng, I don’t think I can make it through without you, especially in K2. Thanks for lending me the listening ear when I am down. Thanks for giving me the encouragement and affirmation when I doubted myself. And thanks for taking all my bullshits. Nothing can tear us apart partner. THANKS!
Forth: To KAH TENG
Hey, I really really enjoyed my time training with you. Your nonsense never fails to brighten up our day. You really changed a lot from last year. From an insensitive captain to such a thoughtful one. Thanks for pushing me SO HARD during trainings. You play a big part in my improvement. Like what MENG said today you guys are champion no matter what. Within a short time, I witness the remarkable improvement you guys made. The thirst for success really inspired me. Thanks for everything my friend.
Fifth: To ZHAN LI
• like to thank you for putting up this entry for me on your blog*
Zhan li, you are more than a friend to me. More like a brother, someone who guided me along, someone who inspires me and reminded me about important aims in life. Thanks for your understanding and believing in me. I remembered during one of the trainings in June, you told me “You can be a master of your mind instead of your mind being your master.” This phrase really stay deep rooted in my mind and pushes me on in whatever I do. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me.
Sixth: To LEONARD
Thanks for listening to me when I was down. When I was on the verge of quitting, you really reminded me about what I want in life especially when I felt that I couldn’t balance my studies and my cca. Thanks for giving me your opinion about my stroke. You really play a big part in my life. No words can really describe how much I appreciated and respected you.
*you know it in your heart can already*
SEVENTH: SZE EE
Hey thanks for being my partner. Really enjoyed myself with you, the gossips, the chit chat sessions, the sweat and the tears. Thanks for everything babe. You really pushed yourself very hard. You will certainly do well in k1. But now, hope that you also put more attention in your studies, I can’t stress how important that is.
EIGHTH: ZHI HAO (put you at 8th doesn’t mean that you don’t mean a lot to me okay.)
Hey COACH, *happy? I acknowledge you as a coach already…* anyway, you really taught me a lot in the past few months and pushing me really hard. Especially during the national schools. Sorry that I disappointed you when I decided to take K2. But whatever it is, you really put in your hard work coaching us. Although you keep saying my stroke very ugly, I’m weak, whatever…. Still want to thank you…
(See I’m nice okay. Better treat me one day)
Finally, to Belle, Xiao Hui, Amanda, Lesley, Jeremy, Jian Sheng, Dorm, Wen Yang
Thanks for all of your encouragements. You guys really made training more fun and made me work very hard to what I have today.
Belle, really thank you for advices you given me
Xiao Hui, really enjoyed the challenge you gave me and the gossip session =)
Amanda, your really gave me a lot of challenge compared to any other people.
Lesley, really enjoyed your company
Jeremy, thanks for making me believe that I have a chance of making it to medicine. I will study super hard.
Jian sheng, STOP calling me ah lian lor…
Dorm, thanks for all the chocolates and understanding.
Wen yang, thanks for helping us take photos.
Like to end off with this:
My Hero
You may not consider yourself,
But you may very well be
A leader, a winner,
For all the world to see.
In the eyes of others,
You are a martyr.
You have received recognition,
And you have worked harder.
But why ? Why all the praise?
I have done nothing but kept my word,
To a dear friend who needed me,
In every incidence that occurred.
But friend, I tell you, you are a hero.
You helped me see the light.
When I had no eyes,
You saved me, and you were my sight.
LOVE, AILING.
