DAY ONE- National Schools Champs
ok so the heats and semis are over.
those who got into finals are:
mengyean (K1-500m)
irene + sze ee (K2-500m)
dorcas + xiaoting (K2-1000m)
soohui (T1-500m)
kahteng + me (K2-1000m)
i think this is our best year already. there were disappointments though. it is ok, you've done the team proud nonetheless. just that other people trained harder and so they're that bit faster. no matter what, i'm proud of you guys, especially the senior team. yes, each and everyone of you.
besides that however, there were some gentle surprises as well. i am very VERY happy for the juniors namely dorcas, xiaoting and soohui who made it to the finals. very gooooood.
in school, we stand out from the rest because we're canoeists. on water, we're special because we're pjc canoeing team. it is the things that we went through together as a team that made everything so precious. i'm so thankful to have experienced it. not everyone has the chance to. so, i'll gladly live my life with these wonderful memories you guys have given me.
tommorrow will be the very last race. i want to get a gold for the guys. everyone's fair at the start-line. may the best win.
